Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know about CCAP Pro

Will CCAP Pro perform a background check of the individuals on the subscriber's watch list?
Yes. CCAP Pro provides a Wisconsin Circuit Court criminal background history on every person on a subscriber's watchlist. Call for more details!
How does CCAP Pro obtain its data?
CCAP Pro obtains all of the circuit data through a subscription agreement with the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access (WCCA) program, which is commonly referred to as "CCAP". The subscription agreement allows CCAP Pro to access and download WCCA data through CCAP Pro's proprietary application.
Is there a limit to the number of people a subscriber can monitor?
No. There is no limit to the number of people a subscriber can have on its watch list. CCAP Pro monitors every person every day.
Do I need each individual's consent to run these searches every day?
No. CCAP Pro does not use any "private" information for the people on the watch list that would require consent, and the information we are searching is all public records through the Wisconsin circuit court system.
Can CCAP Pro still perform a search if I don't have all of the contacts' middle initials and/or dates of birth?
CCAP Pro can perform searches with only a first name and last name of anyone on the subscriber's watch list. However, a subscriber will receive less "false positives" if it can provide middle initials and dates of birth in addition to the contacts' first and last names.
Can a subscriber choose the case types it wants to monitor?
Yes. CCAP Pro allows a subscriber to select the type of cases it wants to receive alerts about. For example, if a school district only wants to receive notifications when a person is charged with a crime (and not receive alerts regarding a divorce, civil action, etc…) the user can make that selection during the enrollment process.
Where will the email alerts be sent?
The subscriber provides us with the email(s) where it wants the daily email notifications sent. The alerts can be sent to multiple emails or just one.
Can a subscriber update its watch list or make changes to its account?
Yes. For no additional charge, a subscriber can upload a new watch list as frequently as it wants.

What is CCAP Pro?

CCAP Pro is a Wisconsin-based service that helps schools, daycares, nursing homes, and other organizations monitor their employees and volunteers for new court cases β€” every single day.

Beyond the Background Check

You probably know that most organizations run a background check when they hire someone. But what happens after that? Life doesn't stop, and unfortunately, sometimes good employees make bad decisions.

CCAP Pro fills that gap. When an organization subscribes to CCAP Pro, they receive daily alerts if anyone on their staff appears in Wisconsin court records for a new arrest, charge, or case filing.

This means the organization isn't waiting until the next annual review or hearing about it through rumors β€” they're informed immediately and can take appropriate action.

What This Means for Your Family

When an organization displays the CCAP Pro membership, here's what you can count on:

βœ“

Proactive Protection

The organization isn't just reacting to problems β€” they're actively watching for potential red flags before incidents occur.

βœ“

Daily Vigilance

Every employee and volunteer is monitored daily across all 72 Wisconsin counties β€” not just once at hiring.

βœ“

Fast Response

If something does come up, leadership knows within 24 hours β€” not weeks or months later.

βœ“

Commitment to Safety

A CCAP Pro membership shows the organization takes safety seriously and invests in protecting the people they serve.

βœ“

Trust & Transparency

Organizations that use CCAP Pro are committed to maintaining your trust through continuous accountability.

βœ“

Peace of Mind

You can feel more confident knowing extra safeguards are in place for your children, parents, or loved ones.

How Does It Work?

1

Organization Joins CCAP Pro

Your child's school, daycare, or your loved one's care facility signs up for a CCAP Pro membership and uploads their list of employees and volunteers.

2

Daily Court Monitoring Begins

Every day, CCAP Pro automatically checks Wisconsin's Circuit Court Access system for any new cases involving people on the organization's list.

3

Instant Alerts for New Cases

If someone on the list appears in a new court case β€” whether it's a traffic violation, criminal charge, or other matter β€” the organization receives an email alert.

4

Leadership Takes Appropriate Action

With timely information in hand, the organization can assess the situation and take whatever steps are necessary to keep everyone safe.

Questions Families Often Ask

Does CCAP Pro monitor me or my family?

No. CCAP Pro only monitors employees and volunteers of member organizations. It does not monitor students, residents, patients, or family members. The service is designed to help organizations keep their staff accountable β€” not to surveil the people they serve.

Is the information CCAP Pro uses public?

Yes. CCAP Pro uses publicly available data from Wisconsin's Circuit Court Access (WCCA) system. This is the same information anyone can look up on the state's public court records website. CCAP Pro simply automates the monitoring process so organizations don't have to manually search hundreds of names every day.

Why should I care if my child's school uses CCAP Pro?

A background check only tells you about someone's past up to the day they were hired. CCAP Pro provides ongoing monitoring, which means if a teacher, coach, bus driver, or volunteer is arrested or charged with a crime after they were hired, the school will know about it quickly β€” often the next business day. This allows them to take action before a situation potentially escalates.

How do I know if an organization is a CCAP Pro member?

Many CCAP Pro member organizations display their membership on their website, in their facilities, or in communications to families. If you're curious, you can always ask the organization directly whether they use continuous court monitoring for their staff.

Can I request that an organization join CCAP Pro?

Absolutely. If your child's school, daycare, church, or your loved one's care facility doesn't currently use CCAP Pro, you can suggest it to them. Many organizations appreciate when families advocate for additional safety measures. Feel free to share this page with them or have them click "For Organizations" above to learn more.
